- I've been trying to get a good shot of the escalator going down to the metro. This still isn't the best shot, but I'm getting closer to what I want to see. It takes 2 minutes to go up or down and it's going pretty fast.
If I were to take a picture of the metro 10 years ago, such as when I was in Russia, you might see a couple of those lights actually working and many broken and probably hanging off to the side.
Once the economy started to take off, the original factories restarted and begun supplying the original parts to these public services. As a result, many of the old structures, including the metro, have been restored using "original" parts and are now in their previous "glory."
