- Tonight was date night. Probably the last one before our family increases by 25%. The main street was closed as today was a continuation of the city's New Year's celebrations. We stopped at a local bakery for sandwiches and then walked through the underground mall, Metrograd and then up across the main street, Khrashatik. It was fun to see all the holiday street lights and then we finished off the date with a little treat. Not quite as tasty as horseradish meat jello or pig fat chips, but still tasty in its own sphere - italian gelato. Mmmm.
