- From the KPMG headquarters to the Newark Airport, we had to travel through New Jersey. It seemed to me like there was nothing BUT suburbs. The "city" of Newark never really appeared. In fact, the airport was surrounded by small homes. Recently, I asked someone who had lived in the area and he confirmed it. Apparently, it's truly the state of middle-class single family dwellings--shown here.
