- On our way to Chernivtsi, we stopped at Kamyanets-Podilsky, a small historic city that has a castle on the banks of the Smotrych river. Having a history spanning more than seven centuries, historical accounts date the Kamianets-Podilskyi Castle back to the early 14th century, although recent archaeological evidence dates human existence in the area to around the 12-13th centuries.
It was so cool, as we were able to go inside and roam around through the dungeons and into the castle towers. It was well worth the $1 admission per person!
