- This was Joel's 1st birthday party. And as like most 1st birthdays, the poor boy is smothered by the other kids, the presents, the parents wanting the first to be memorable, all the while the birthday boy is tired and cranky and feeling overwhelmed and just wants to take a nap. I think this photo captures the moment well.
