- At the Moses Lake aiport today, this little training jet flew in and parked while I was waiting. I have no idea what it is, but I am sure my brother would be able to tell me in an instant. The Moses Lake airstrip is one of the largest in the country and is actually one of the NASA Shuttle's emergency landing areas. There is also a 747 training facility for Japanese pilots, so they are always flying around. The gal who checked me in (and loaded my baggage, and brought the ramp to the plane, and I am sure has several other roles) even showed me some pictures of the 787 that landed here earlier that week. All this in little Moses Lake!
Brad says: its an f11 nasa training jet so pilots can learn about controlling a jet if it loses power
I knew he would know!
